Sign runes to defend the town from monsters! 

Designed primarily for mobile with gesture-based input, sign as quickly and accurately as you can to send the demons tumbling away. 

With 16 different gameplay-impacting traits, your MBTI will grant you unique bonuses-- if you're an introvert, get bonuses for being the only one left on the field; if you're an extrovert, earn extra score from clearing large waves of enemies. Each MBTI selection grants awesome extra bonuses, including shields and burst skills!

HOW TO PLAY 👩‍🏫

Download the .APK to play the game on Android, or play the game on Windows. Mobile is recommended since it's easier to slide one's fingers with gesture-based input; however, it is completely playable and fun still on Windows!

INSPIRATION ✨

When I thought about casual games teenagers would play, I thought about simple-to-understand game loops. With most phones having gesture passcodes and tracing/copy minigames having existed throughout time, I thought it'd be fun to make a magic game where players have to gesture as quickly and accurately as possible, similar to signing complex passcodes for mobile.

RETROSPECTIVE 📜

Overall, I was happy with how far I got and how I rescoped the project. Originally, I was going to make a merger game since I know that game genre is really popular on mobile and one which I play. However,  because I ran into problems with visual scripting where there are several features supported with C# scripting but literally not in Unity's Bolt visual scripting system, I had to pivot. Instead I went for a gesture based game that was easier to develop-- and spent my remaining time on more polish features instead of trying to force a merger game to work with visual scripting within the scope of this game jam. Honestly, think I like what I pivoted to better because it's more unique!
